A new video posted by an actor auditioning for American Horror Story revealed some character details for the show's third season.

Actor Byron Mann, famous for his roles in Street Fighter and The Man with the Iron Fists, posted a video on June 22 of him auditioning for the role of Dr. David Zhong. The video, found by SpoilerTV Monday, features Mann as Dr. Zhong engaged in a dialogue with a woman. As Zhong, he shows the woman a video of Allegra, "the equivalent of a human female in her late 80s," who he explains is ailing. He tells the woman that they injected Allegra with their serum RM-47 and implies that Allegra is now more youthful than ever.

The woman says, "I want what she's having," and later says that she wants the youth serum immediately instead of waiting for two years, as the doctor suggests. Despite Zhong's protests, the woman sternly tells him that her late husband funded the doctor's entire research project and reinforces that she wants the drug now.

She says she's in the "prime of her life" and shoots down Zhong's idea of plastic surgery instead. "What I need is an infusion of vitality," the woman says. He tells her that it's essentially impossible and finally says her name: Maude.

The Maude character is a wealthy widow who, despite being in the self-proclaimed prime of her life, is desperate to get some sort of physical alteration. Since American Horror Story: Coven is a predominantly female cast, any one of the casted actresses could be playing the part of Maude, including Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone and Gabourey Sidibe.

The Maude character sounds like she could be a potentially duplicitous or manipulative woman, which both line up with what Paulson and Bates have said about their characters.

American Horror Story: Coven has been announced to be concerning witchcraft, with one of the primary locations being New Orleans. The show's third season will be premiering in October on FX.
