A writer for the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy may have hinted on Sunday that Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt may have a future together when season 10 of the series premieres in the fall.

Dan Bucatinsky stars on Scandal as James but he is also a TV writer, author and Emmy-nominated producer, according to his Twitter page. On Sunday, a follower asked him, "Can we see Cristina and Owen being each other person in season 10, please ?" Without giving away too much information about season 10's plot, Bucatinsky replied, "Season 10 of @GreysABC is gonna be great RT @YangAndHuntMFEO."

The acronym MFEO stands for "Made For Each Other." Did Bucatinsky reveal that Cristina and Owen will rekindle their relationship when season 10 airs? He merely said the season will "be great," but fans are hoping that he directed the statement to Owen and Cristina's relationship.

Season 9 ended with Cristina and Owen ending their on-and-off relationship. As Cristina realizes that Owen really wants a child and she does not, she decides to end their relationship and allow Owen to have what he deserves - even at the expense of losing him. After fighting their way back into each other's arms throughout the season, Cristina is shown in final scenes walking away from Owen, symbolizing their breakup.

The show's executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, said in a May interview that the characters "absolutely" still love each other. However, she reassured Grey's Anatomy fans that she will not give Cristina a child merely to appease Owen and help their relationship get back on track.

"I know a lot of fans just want us to end everything by giving Cristina a baby [as if that's] going to make everyone happy, which infuriates me as a woman," Rhimes admitted. "I adamantly stand by Cristina's ability and desire to not have a baby and to be happy about that. There's something great about this struggle and what's going to make her happy and see where they go next."

Season 10 of Grey's Anatomy airs in the fall, Thursday nights on ABC.
