Joe Jonas is facing legal charges over a car accident that allegedly happened a couple years ago with a woman and his assistant at the wheel.

The Lawsuit

The unnamed woman, through her lawyer Gerald Marcus, filed legal documents claiming the accident happened in Hollywood in March 2016. The woman claimed that she was making a turn at an intersection when her car collided with Jonas' 2012 Audi A6. At that time, the DNCE frontman's assistant was reportedly behind the wheel.

According to the documents, Marcus ran the car's plate number and saw that it was registered to the middle of the Jonas brothers. However, there was no police report filed at the time of the incident nor were there any witnesses who can corroborate the woman's allegations. The documents also did not state whether the "Cake by the Ocean" singer was in the vehicle with his assistant when the collision happened.

Regardless of lack of evidence and proof, the woman is suing both Jonas and his assistant for negligence. The alleged victim reportedly suffered injuries from the accident. She also endured physical and mental pain and lost earnings due to the medical expenses.

Jonas and his assistant have yet to comment on the said allegation.

Bondi Time

Word about the woman's lawsuit may have already reached Jonas by now, although he seemed unfazed by it as he spends time with younger brother Nick in Australia. The singer has been out and about in the country spending some quality time with his brother outside of work. Jonas took some time off from filming the seventh season of The Voice Australia to go around the city and have fun.

The brothers were recently spotted walking the street on their way to grab breakfast. They dressed casually for the outing and did not seem to catch a lot of attention. No one stopped their tracks for an autograph. The brothers blended with the crowd and with the café diners who chose to ignore them.

Nick has been keeping his brother company in Down Under for some downtime at Bondi beach. They tried their hand at lawn bowling at the Bondi Beach Bowling Club on Tuesday.

The lawsuit is probably the last thing on Jonas' mind right now given that he has a lot on his plate. Aside from filming The Voice Australia, the singer has to make wedding preparations with his fiancée, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
