There is only one who can convince influential TV host Oprah from running for president in the 2020 elections, and that's God.

Oprah had long been shutting down the clamor of the many for her to run for presidency come 2020, but it looks like there is still hope. In an interview with People, the 64-year-old celebrity revealed she prayed to God for signs that it would be right to enter the political battle arena.

"'God, if you think I'm supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it,'" Oprah said she prayed.

However, Oprah said she still had not seen any sign for it. It can be remembered that the loud call for her to run for presidency started milling after her moving speech at the Golden Globes this year.

The Oprah Winfrey Show host also narrated she did not expect the reaction from people of her infamous speech, and only got a wind of the effect of it after people started telling her that she was trending.

'Not In My DNA'

She even disclosed that there were rich and powerful people willing to support and sponsor her if in case she would run, but of course, she had already denied that she'll be running. In one instance, Oprah said that being a leader is just not in her DNA.

"I am actually humbled by the fact that people think that I could be a leader of the free world, but it's just not in my spirit. It's not in my DNA," Oprah said when she was a guest at CBS's 60 Minutes.

Other times, she expressed her gratefulness for the number of people showing their support, though she seemed to give a conclusive "No" answer. Well, at least until now, since Oprah said there's still a chance, that is, if God wants it.

Meanwhile, United States President Donald Trump was clearly unimpressed by the public demand of Oprah running against him in the 2020 election. Recently, he expectedly took it to Twitter to lash out against the host, giving a reaction on her 60 Minutes guest stint, and announced that she should run to be "exposed and defeated just like all of the others!"

Trump, who is known for being vocal on social media, also referred to Oprah as "very insecure." With this, many noted that he was barking up the wrong tree, especially that the latter had been insistently denying rumors of a possible run and she, herself, had expressed disinterest.
