The first photo of Michelle Trachtenberg as Marina Oswald in Killing Kennedy was released on Tuesday.

The Gossip Girl star plays the wife of Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Preisdent John F. Kennedy in 1963. In the photo, Trachtenberg carries a baby while wearing a multi-color dress and a green cardigan. Her hair is touched up like that of a '60s housewife.

Trachtenberg is excited about her performance in the film, tweeting and re-tweeting publicity for the photo as well as the film itself.  Monday she tweeted, "What do you guys think: Michelle Trachtenberg as Marina Oswald in ‪@NatGeoChannel's ‪#KillingKennedy movie" and then put a link to the photo.

She also tweeted the word "Motorcade" with an exclusive photo of a '60s era Dallas Police car, implying that the car would be involved in the recreation of the JFK assassination. Almost every tweet Trachtenberg has made over the past two weeks has included the hashtag #KillingKennedy.

"I am so excited for the challenge to portray Marina Oswald, and to do my first role speaking only in Russian," she said in an interview about the film in May, "I'm the only actor playing someone who is still alive, so I want to stay as true to her as possible. This is a story about JFK's assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald and his wife Marina. And it is fascinating."

Playing Trachtenberg's on-screen husband is William Rothhaar, who had supporting roles in such films as Hearts of Atlantis and Battle: Los Angeles. Rothhaar plays Lee Harvey Oswald, who who fatally shot two days after assassinating Kennedy.

Rob Lowe plays Kennedy for the film while Ginnifer Goodwin plays First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.  The film is an adaptation of Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's book of the same name. Killing Kennedy will premiere on the National Geographic Channel but does not yet have a release date.
