Stranger Things season 3 adds Maya Thurman-Hawke to its growing and expanding Hawkins gang. Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas' sister, is also recurring her role.

The streamer took to Twitter to announce that climbing aboard the Stranger Things ship is Thurman-Hawke, who will play Robin in the highly anticipated third run of the series. The 19-year-old blonde might be familiar for some, plainly judging by her name, as she is the daughter of Hollywood stars Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.

Robin is described as an "alternative girl. "That is her literal character description, so get ready for some angst."

With this said, it could be expected Thurman-Hawke is set to play a feisty teener, though no specific details about how her character will get connected with the main cast. According to Variety, Robin tried to spice her otherwise boring life, but she finally regrets it after discovering "a dark secret in Hawkins."

Thurman-Hawke's dad recently spoke of his pride of the blonde young lady, who is playing Jo March in Little Women, coincidentally the role played by Winona Ryder. The 46-year-old actress currently plays Joyce Byers in Stranger Things.

"It's one of the most amazing moments of my life watching her in Little Women," Hawke gushed.

Role Reprisal

Meanwhile, Ferguson's Erica was praised and had become a fan-favorite character after appearing in the second season of Stranger Things as Lucas's (Caleb McLaughlin) younger sister. The feisty, mature-for-her-age sibling has gained admiration from fans, who saw her for just four episodes.

Now, Netflix heard fans loud and clear and announced that Ferguson would be coming back and, this time, with more screen time. She is given more light as well on Stranger Things season 3, as Erica tries to save Hawkins from something dangerous.

This was an answer to the uproar about McLaughlin, being the only black in the show, getting the least development in terms of storyline. With the recent announcement, Stranger Things could minimize criticisms like this and at the same time offer fans a new storyline.

Even so, the news about Ferguson was not a surprise anymore. The Duffer Brothers, who created the 1980s-themed Stranger Things, has become vocal about their admiration for her, so much so that they teased giving extra story for her in season 3.

Clearly, the 11-year-old has gained traction from people, but fans should not be surprised about Ferguson's performance in Stranger Things. She was with comedy show Atlanta and was seen in Mercy Street and Daytime Divas.

Stranger Things also stars Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, and Finn Wolfhard as Mike.
