Becca Kufrin, who had her heart broken by Arie Luyendyk Jr. on season 22 of The Bachelor, will be the next Bachelorette.

Becca Kufrin Is The Next 'Bachelorette'

On Tuesday, March 6, ABC announced that Kufrin will be the one handing out roses and breaking hearts on the upcoming season 14 of the popular reality series.

The network made the announcement during the After the Final Rose special of Luyendyk's season 22 of The Bachelor.

"This is crazy!" Becca said after host Chris Harrison broke the news. "I have some big shoes to fill, that's for sure. I want to be the best damn Bachelorette I can be. So I'm so excited. I want to find love. I want to meet so many amazing guys. I'm just ready to do this!"

Kufrin's Heartbreak In Season 22's Shocking Finale

Kufrin seems like the perfect choice to lead the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, and all of America will be rooting for her to find love.

The 27-year-old Minnesota-based publicist was blindsided by Luyendyk in a shocking turn of events that took place during one of the ABC franchise's most dramatic finales on Tuesday night.

During The Bachelor finale, which aired on Monday, March 5, Luyendyk proposed to Kufrin in Peru, where the finale was shot two months ago.

However, he had a change of heart and dumped poor old Kufrin after realizing that he was in love with another woman: runner-up Lauren Burnham, prompting him to get down on one knee and ask Burnham to marry him, which she gladly accepted.

What made matters worse was that the break up was caught on camera, and the 40-minute unedited scene was televised during Monday's finale.

Kufrin Talks About Her Broken Engagement

Although Bachelor fans were furious with Luyendyk's decision to end his engagement with Kufrin, she has no hard feelings against him. In an interview with People, the 27-year-old revealed that she wants to put the whole thing with Luyendyk in the past and move on to the next chapter of her life.

"I went through all the emotions. I was mad for awhile, I was so sad and down for awhile, I was pissed for awhile," she told the publication. "At this point, I want this chapter of Arie to be done and close it and put it on the shelf and put it away."

She added that although she still has feelings for her former fiancé, she wants him to be happy while she's focusing on her life and future.
