Daytime talk show host Kelly Ripa does not like criticism. In fact, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host decided to track down her internet bullies.

Confronting The Trolls

On March 7, Ripa decided to take a page from Jimmy Kimmel's book and decided to do an Instagram edition of "Mean Tweets." The former All My Children actress decided after plugging husband Mark Consuelos's Instagram takeover of the CW's Riverdale social media channel to call out some Instagram trolls.

According to Entertainment Daily, the talk show host decided to confront a troll who called her out on wearing "too much" makeup and even stated that she looked like a wax figure. Ripa had the perfect response when facing her troll.

"I say, 'Oh no no no!' I have on way more makeup than a wax figure. I know because I have a wax figure in Madame Tussauds and she doesn't wear this much makeup. But she didn't get to go to the Academy Awards, did she?" said Ripa.

Fans Rally For Kelly

Following that statement, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host's Instagram followers rallied around the daytime Emmy-winning talk show. Many fans wrote supportive messages to cheer up the mother of three. Several of the show's fans questioned the troll's integrity and made comments on trolls' mean-spirited acts.

"I think you're gorgeous. Mean things people say says more about them than anything about you," said one Instagram follower.

They also wished the talk show host a "Happy International Women's Day."  Others asked Ripa if she knew how much research her trolls had and asked the talk show host if she ever makes comments on those troll photos.

"It depends on how many grammatical and spelling errors they make while insulting me. I'm never actually offended, I believe everyone has the right to their opinion, but I'm from New Jersey, so I like to mix it up. I don't think anyone should take Insta seriously. Even the trolls," said Ripa.

An Academy Award Rewind

Ripa's epic comeback happened a few days after she hosted Live with Kelly and Ryan's Post-Oscars Show with Ryan Seacrest. On Oscars Sunday, Ripa was backstage interviewing celebrities and ran into Tiffany Haddish. The comedian told Ripa about a promise that she would date Brad Pitt if both of them were still single at next year's ceremony.

Ripa walked the red carpet in a Christian Siriano dress alongside her husband. They also stopped to talk to Live co-host Ryan Seacrest, who was working the red carpet as an E! News correspondent. On Thursday, March 1, Ripa defended Seacrest's character and reputation on an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan.

Enstars contacted Live with Kelly and Ryan for a comment.
