Lisa Bonet, who has been seen much since her The Cosby Show days, opened up about her husband, Jason Momoa, and can't stop gushing over and what makes their relationship so unique.

The couple have been together since 2005. Although many people believed the two tied the knot in 2007, the couple officially wed in October 2017. Bonet and Momoa faced controversy over their relationship because of their considerable age difference, but the two are still going strong despite what they have faced.

Lisa Loves Jason

In an exclusive interview, Bonet stated that it wasn't love at first sight when she met Momoa. However, the two have been together since they first met. The couple developed a relationship after meeting through mutual friends.

The actress went on to describe their first time out together where the two bonded over beer and grits. Bonet stated that at that moment, "love" came for the two hard and they both embraced it instead of running from it. Bonet also stated that though she is 12 years older than Momoa, he is definitely the "alpha" of their relationship and home.

"Jason embodies a rare form of masculinity in this day and age -- he's a leader; he's generous. Just in terms of charisma, physique, the right use of power, responsibility, work ethic, you can go down the line," Bonet stated.

The couple would go on to have two children together: Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, who was born on Dec. 15, 2008, and Lola Iolani Momoa, who was born on July 23, 2007.

Momoa also became stepfather to Bonet's daughter, Zoe Kravitz, whose father is Bonet's ex-husband, Lenny Kravitz.

Momoa starred in the DC film Justice League as Aquaman, opposite Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Jeremy Irons. The Game of Thrones actor will reprise his role in the titular film that will hit theaters December 2018.

The Bill Cosby Sex Scandal

Bonet also took the opportunity to open about her thoughts on the Bill Cosby controversy. Bonet, who played Cosby's television daughter on the hit sitcom, had remained quiet over the scandal since the news first broke. Her other co-stars, Malcolm Jamal Warner and Keisha Knight Pulliam, have stood by Cosby, but Bonet's feelings toward the situation didn't seem sympathetic.

"There was no knowledge on my part about his specific actions, but... There was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed. ... And if I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That's my nature. The truth will set you free," Bonet claimed.
