Kanye West debuted at No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200 for his new album Yeezus.

West sold 327,000 copies of Yeezus in its debut week, becoming the third highest debut of 2013 behind Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience (968,000 copies) and Daft Punk's Random Access Memories (339,000 copies).

West debuted two of the album's songs Black Skinhead and New Slaves on Saturday Night Live in May; Black Skinhead was also featured in the June trailer for Martin Scorsese's film The Wolf of Wall Street. The rapper also broadcast the official music video for New Slaves on buildings around the world in late May.

Yeezus was originally projected to sell 500,000 copies in its first week, according to industry experts but it was adjusted to 330,000-340,000 earlier in this week.

Two other rappers debuted at no. 2 and 3 behind West. J. Cole's Born Sinner debuted at no. 2 with 297,000 copies sold. It is the biggest debut for a no. 2 since Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday debuted at no. 2 in December 2010 with 375,000 copies.

Rapper Mac Miller debuted at no. 3 with 102,000 copies sold of Watching Movies with the Sound Off. Kelly Rowland debuted at no. 4 with 68,000 copies sold of Talk a Good Game, her third top 10 since going solo from Destiny's Child.

Last week's no. 1 album, Black Sabbath's 13, slipped to no. 5 in its second week, selling 46,000 copies. The album was down 71 percent from its 155,000-copy debut.

Daft Punk dipped to no. 6 this week for Random Access Memories, selling 40,000 copies. The album was no. 1 in its first two weeks and no. 2 in its third and fourth week. This is the album's lowest chart position thus far.

Rounding out the top 10 is Hunter Hayes' self-titled debut, Florida Georgia Line's Here's to the Good Times, Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience and Imagine Dragons' Night Visions.
