Erica Mena is back on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop, this time adding to the drama in Atlanta.

While many fans were happy to see the New Yorker back on the small screen, she was met with criticism from fans on why she really made her return to the VH1 franchise.

Is Erica Mena 'Humbled' For Coming Back?

Fans came for Mena after one of her tweets from last year went viral.

“So many reasons why I would never go back to LHH,” wrote Mena in the tweet that resurfaced earlier this week. “Those who do go back clearly need the money……. Remember I tweeted this.”

Fans definitely remembered and came for Mena on Twitter.

One fan kept it simple and let Mena know fans didn’t forget.

A couple of viewers said Mena’s return to the show clearly humbled her.

Another added that Mena must have needed the money.

One questioned why she was on the show after Mena once said she didn’t belong there.

Other fans made it clear they would rather have Love and Hip Hop Atlanta veteran Joseline Hernandez on the show instead of Mena.

One even said they want Jessica Dime instead of Mena.

One fan used The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes to share her thoughts on Mena’s return.

Mena has since denied writing the tweet and said it was fabricated.

Remembering Why She Left

Mena was a member of the Love and Hip Hop New York cast until she quit during the season 5 reunion in 2015. She has managed to slam the show multiple times since then.

At the time, she was engaged to rapper Bow Wow. Mena said she was above the show and shut down her then co-stars as she filmed her portion of the reunion separately.

“I wasn’t sad to see the show go on without me,” said Mena in an interview months after quitting the show. “If anything, it was boring and I think the audience agrees that it’s extremely boring without me. This past year I’ve had time to get my life back in the sense where now my recent [relationship] status has everyone wondering…”

Meanwhile, she and Bow Wow called it quits in an ugly breakup before they were ever able to tie the knot.

See Mena and the rest of the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta co-stars when the show airs on VH1 Mondays at 8 p.m. or 7 p.m. Central.
