Aquaman has long been announced, which is why fans seem restless as they await tidbits of the much-anticipated film.

Ever since an Aquaman project has been up in the horizon until the days leading to a materialization of an actual film, many fans noticed how only a few details about the movie that stars Jason Momoa as the titular character manage to leak.

To be specific, fans are wondering why a trailer has not been released. Come to think of it, a Dec. 21 premiere has already been announced, but still the Aquaman team has left many spectators clueless.

Many thought that Aquaman might be shelved or postponed, considering the little light given on it or its production. However, director James Wan finally addressed this hullabaloo on a series of tweets, and he showed just how dedicated he was in bringing an A+ thespic piece.

Explanation

Initially, Wan made a disclaimer that he usually opts to steer clear of gossips and outrageous rumors. He then revealed the culprit why an Aquaman trailer is yet to reach the public: him. Amusingly, the director, known for helming horror films such as The Conjuring and Insidious, did not leave his audience unentertained as he explained himself using puns.

Apparently, the director is the one to blame after he said he wasn't ready to share anything from the movie as of now. Not that he is greedy, it is just that Aquaman and even its trailer need much effort and rigorous labor, citing visual effects.

Furthermore, Wan reiterated he didn't want to release something that is below average. So it is probably safe to assume that Aquaman and even its trailer are nothing short of perfection when these come out.

"I know it seems like nothing much is brewing above the surface, but I can assure you, we're working nonstop under the waves," Wan stressed.

This is a nod to Yahya Abdul-Mateen's statement that Aquaman is going to be a great film. He, who plays Black Manta, last year hinted of how the production had been doing, claiming people will love the film.

"The scale is epic and this movie is going to be so good! I can't say too much, but in the hands of James Wan and with Jason Momoa at the helm, I think people are going to be really happy with it," he said.

So for fans who couldn't contain their excitement of Aquaman, keep being at sea, pun intended, as Wan is brewing something special for everyone. With this said, it just heightens the anticipation for the now-expected masterpiece.
