It’s clear that Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert can’t get enough of each other these days.

Still, Taylor revealed she wasn’t always a fan of her NBA star husband.

Teyana's First Impression Of Iman

Taylor got candid about her relationship with Shumpert during an interview with Wendy Williams earlier this week.

“I did not like him at first,” admitted Taylor.

She explained that when they met just after Shumpert was drafted into the NBA, he has a demeanor that completely turned her off from him. She recalled a time she was at a party and saw him without a shirt, which she made clear wasn’t attractive.

Shumpert, who isn't the only one drooling over Taylor and her flawless physique, tried to convince her that he was the one for her. She wasn’t buying it, however, so they became friends instead.

It changed when they both went through a bad breakup and consoled each other. They sparked a romance, tied the knot, and now have a 2-year-old daughter, Junie B.

Then Comes Baby

Taylor also opened up about their growing child in an interview.

“She’s the star of our whole world,” said Taylor. “Honestly, like one thing we want to do is give Junie the freedom to do whatever it is her little mind desires…”

She said the tot has already started playing makeup and could take after Taylor’s passion for dancing. At the same time, Taylor and Shumpert might be raising the next basketball star.

“…She’ll turn around, pick up a basketball and she’s trying to hoop. She’s tall.”

Teyana And Iman Go Reality TV

Fans will get to see more of Taylor and Shumpert’s romance and family life on VH1’s newest reality series Teyana and Iman. The show is set to follow Taylor, Shumpert, and their newlywed bliss as they balance family and their successful careers.

In a teaser for the second episode, which is scheduled to air Monday, the couple engages in a friendly competition as they battle it out in a Harlem vs. Chicago debate. Taylor, who is a proud native of Harlem, repped her hometown.

She went as far as defending the “durag” that the burrough is often called out for. Meanwhile, Shumpert focused on holding down Chicago and said there’s a certain way that one should wear a durag. He joked that people from Chicago “don’t want the cape out, Joe.”

Fans will have to tune in to the full episode Teyana and Iman to see who wins the battle. The show airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET or 8 p.m. CT.
