Television personality and former Playboy associate Kendra Wilkinson has announced that she has plans to divorce her husband of nine years, Hank Baskett.

The Painful Revelation

An insider close to the Wilkinson-Baskett camp stated to US Weekly that Wilkinson has decided to make the painful decision to end her relationship with the former Wide Receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Indianapolis Colts. The split comes after sources stated that the couple was faking their own happiness for creating television. The football player and the businesswoman share two children, 8-year-old Hank Basket IV and 3-year-old Alijah Mary.

"She's been really unhappy and felt uncomfortable in the marriage, and they have been fighting a lot," said the insider to US Weekly.

Revealing Instagram Stories

E! News reported that Wilkinson took her frustrations to Instagram, where she shared with 2.6 million followers in various Instagram stories. She apologized to her fans for being absent from the social media platform. The former star of The Girls Next Door revealed in a black sports bra that she was going through difficult times.

"How much strength does it take to be strong?" asked Wilkinson in one of her Instagram stories that were transcribed by E! News.

Wilkinson also added that she tried to improve her behavior and stated that would not turn to therapy to sort out her issues. She also vowed that she needed to be able to love herself going forward. The Kendra on Top reality star decided that she would ignore every label that people would throw at her including "D-list celebrity" and "Bad mom." Wilkinson ended her Instagram stories by thanking her fans for their love and support.

Before The Divorce

Before Wilkinson realized that her marriage with Baskett was over, the football player encouraged his wife to strengthen her relationships with her friends. Also, he supported her in pursuing free time from family obligations. Wilkinson even admitted that both she and Baskett were having marital problems and even stated that their family, friends, Kendra on Top producers and WeTV, the network that airs the show knew that the couple was having problems.

Celebrity Breakups And Divorces

Wilkinson and Baskett are not the only celebrities that are breaking up or deciding to divorce. It was hinted in a story with The New York Times that actors Chris Evans and Jenny Slate recently chose to end their relationship for the second time. Evans and Slate met in 2016 when they were filming the movie, Gifted. However, despite breaking up in the early months of 2017, the couple briefly reconciled at the end of 2017. Vanessa Trump also filed for divorce from Donald Trump, Jr. after a 12-year marriage. The former couple has five children together.
