Roseanne Barr is close to a deal with NBC to make a return to the sitcom world, according to new reports on Friday.

NBC is looking to bring Barr back to television in her own sitcom under a similar deal to Charlie Sheen's FX sitcom Anger Management. The new sitcom would be given a 10-episode straight to series order on NBC to gage viewer interest. If the series catches on, the network will order an additional 90 episodes, allowing it to be sold for syndication to other networks.

The sitcom will be a multi-camera family comedy, much like her monster hit sitcom Roseanne in the '90s. Roseanne, which produced 220 episodes over the course of its nine-season run, has been such a success in syndication on channels like TVLand, CMT, Oxygen and Nickelodeon's Nick at Nite. The new sitcom will be a collaboration between Barr and Nurse Jackie co-creator Linda Wallem.

Charlie Sheen is in the middle of his own 10/90 deal on Anger Management. Although the show has caused headlines over the past few weeks for its cast shakeups, the sitcom is expected to plow through to get to a 100-episode syndication deal.

If it proves to be successful, Sheen could be making up to $200 million from Anger Management alone. FX is also developing sitcoms with 10/90 deals for stars George Lopez, Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence.

Barr has been making guest appearances in sitcoms like The Office as well as sketch show Portlandia over the past few years. She tried her hand at launching a new sitcom in 2012 called Downwardly Mobile for NBC, but the pilot tested poorly and wasn't ordered as a series.

Barr also had her own Lifetime reality show in 2011 called Roseanne's Nuts in which she owned a macadamia nut farm with her family. The show was canceled after one season.
