"It's something that we both created; we still marvel at her. It's most obvious on a song called 'Jay Z Blue' and it deals with, like, my pop left when I was young, so he didn't teach me how to be a man, nor how to raise a child, or [how to] treat a woman, right?" Jay-Z says in a promo of the new al bum released on the Samsung app. "So of course, [with] my karma, the two things I need I don't have, right? And I have a daughter."

Jay-Z's new album has been greatly anticipated. Samsung and the rapper sealed a partnership to create a n app dedicated to his music that will allow people who download it to get the album first than anybody else in the world.

Fans will be able to download the record on July 4 and the app is available on Google Play.

Following the release of the new album, Jay-Z is slated to perform on July 8 at the Ed Sullivan Theater's marquee and appear on The Late Show With David Letterman that same night.
