Justin Bieber has someone to thank for his dramatic turnaround and it isn't Selena Gomez.

On Sunday, April 1, the "What Do You Mean" singer took to Instagram to remind his fans about the true meaning of Easter. The 24-year-old decided to share some of his religious wisdom with a lengthy message.

According to the Canadian singer, the holiday is about Jesus and the fact that He died on a cross for his sins.

"Happy Easter," Bieber captioned the post.

Though fans were happy to see the songwriter in good spirits amid his split from Selena Gomez, he seemed to stir up controversy as he dressed as a bunny moments after he stated that Easter was not about the fluffy mascot.

Bieber posted a series of similar photos of himself wearing sunglasses that featured bunny ears and whiskers as he also clutched a toy rabbit.

"Remember when I said Easter wasn't about bunnies... well I lied," the "Sorry" singer captioned one of the shots.

Bieber Turns To Jesus

Bieber's post about what Easter means to him should not come as a surprise as he has openly expressed his Christian faith on social media before. In December 2017, the songwriter posted a photo of a board in which he tells his fans to put their faith in God.

"What if I told you that there's a God willing to meet you wherever you're at! What if I told you he could take away your pain, shame, guilt, and fears. #JESUS," Bieber wrote

Fans of the Grammy Award-winning singer probably remember his decision to cancel his Purpose World Tour back in July after revealing that he wanted to get some rest and relaxation. While taking what seems to be a much needed break, he was also attending church during his hiatus. Bieber reportedly turned to Hillsong Church and his pastor, Carl Lentz, for guidance and support.

A source close to the pop singer stated that he was happy to be accepted by a church family that loves him for him and not what he can offer.

"Justin has a really deep faith and he truly loves God. He has found a church family that accepts him and loves him for who he is, not for his fame or money" the source explained
