AMC's hit zombie TV series, The Walking Dead, continues to garner optimal anticipation for its upcoming installment, which isn't scheduled to grace the small screen until the fall.

One of the topics surely on the mind of its loyalists is what lies ahead for Woodbury's former dictator, the Governor (David Morrissey).

Based on past chatter, it was presumed that Morrissey's evil character would be playing a large role come Season 4. However, while in attendance for the 2013 Saturn Awards, TWD producer David Alpert said that's not necessarily the case, according to Zap2it.

"I don't know. I don't know. Is he on the show? Is he not in the show? Who knows? What happened at the end of Season 3? He went kind of crazy, don't you think? So he might have an army, or he might be living out alone in the woods. We don't know. You'll have to wait until October to find out," he said.

AMC's The Walking Dead will be kicking off its new season on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the hit zombie series. Check out a promo for Season 4 below!
