Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran may have officially rekindled their romance, after an Instagram photo of the couple hinted at a renewed courtship between the pair. 

Brown performed at the 2013 BET Awards on Sunday night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Before he opened the awards show with his performance, Tran posted an image to her Instagram account wishing him good luck.

"My baby. Good Luck today," she wrote on June 30.

Tran, dressed in a black coverup looked stunning as she sat on Brown's lap in the photo. The image was liked by over 91,000 Instagram users.

It seemed as if Tran's well wishes worked for Brown as he had a stellar performance at the awards show. The Grammy-award-winning singer performed a medley of hits, including Fine China, They Don't Know, featuring the late Aaliyah, and a new song Love More with Nicki Minaj.

He also nabbed the BET Fandemonium Award for the fourth year in a row.

Sources said Tran was hoping the awards would be a turning point for the singer, who's been having a rough week.

"It's going to be tough as nails for him to pull it off, but she's hoping he'll win," a source said, according to HollywoodLife. "He needs this more than ever now. It would help his confidence and lift his head up and she really hopes he gets it." 

Brown is facing hit-and-run charges, following an accident in Los Angeles in May.

Olga Gure-Kovalenko, said Brown provided false information and fled from the scene.

According to sources, Tran, who was by Brown's side when the incident occurred, said he isn't guilty of any wrongdoings.

"It's a shame what's happening to Chris," a source said. "Karrueche's got his back! She was there and witnessed the whole thing. She saw how everything went down. She was right there and watched Chris give this woman all his information and she even gave the woman her phone number, since she was involved."
