The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has announced that she's pregnant with her first child. The reality star is expecting with new husband Marc Daly.

Reunion Show Shocks

Moore made the happy announcement on the first part of the show's season 10 reunion special, which aired Sunday. Host Andy Cohen asked her right at the outset if a baby is on the way. She confirmed that she is, in fact, expecting, leaving the viewers and her castmates shocked.

"We will definitely be welcoming a boy or girl ... this year. ... I don't want to talk about the details because I'm still very nervous about everything so I want to get past a safe place," Moore revealed.

When Cohen asked whether she'd prefer a boy or a girl, the reality star replied that she doesn't really mind what she'll have as long as the baby is healthy.

The big news from Moore comes just 10 months after the 47-year-old former Miss USA married her sweetheart, Daly. The two tied the knot in a private ceremony at sunset on a St. Lucia beach.

"We both want to start a family and soon — like, right away," Moore said at the time.

She further revealed at the RHOA aftershow back in January that she and her new hubby had taken the necessary first steps to get the pregnancy process started.

Her fertility struggles were detailed on the show. Moore even opened up in 2016 about how her busy filming schedule made it more difficult to plan things out.

Subsequent IVF attempts didn't work out, but it now seems Moore was able to conceive naturally with Daly.

Love At First Sight

The couple first met through mutual friend and fellow Bravo star, chef Roblé Ali, in June 2016. However, they did not officially start dating until December.

Moore gushed about her first date with Daly, and how it changed everything in her life.

"I felt like the earth moved after our first date," she said at the time.

The reality star had difficulties finding love in the past and committing to anyone, especially when she discovered something she didn't like about the guy. This time around with Daly, she tried her hardest to communicate with him and take a chance to work things out.

The couple divided their time between Moore's place in Atlanta and Brooklyn, where Daly is the owner-operator of Soco, a popular soul food fusion restaurant.

They've also been traveling extensively, taking in the beaches of Barbados in November, and then the deserts of Egypt in January, where they celebrated Moore's birthday.

Their first public appearance together was at the star-studded 26th annual Elton John Aids Foundation's Academy Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles in March. They also attended the Carrie Steele-Pits Home 13th Anniversary Gala in Atlanta.

Keeping Things Private

Moore was initially quite hesitant to reveal Daly's identity to the press, given that he isn't a public figure. She was worried that her new husband would be the subject of attacks, something virtually every other man linked to her had to contend with in the past.

Daly took it in his stride, explaining to Moore that theirs is a partnership and promising the reality star that she wouldn't have to deal with the trials and tribulations of public life alone going forward.

He later appeared on RHOA after months of not showing up on camera. It seems that these days, Moore is looking ahead and focusing on what's important.

She recently shared an Instagram post showing her and Daly, captioning it with the importance of family.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
