Amber Heard kept her promise about donating her Johnny Depp divorce settlement to charity. A financial report from one of the recipients listed the actress as one of its donors.

A Promise Kept

The website of Children's Hospital Los Angeles named "Ms. Amber Heard" on the "Honor Roll of Donors" list. According to the website, the actress donated the amount between $1 million and $5 million.

"We are honored to acknowledge our extraordinary donors for their generosity during fiscal year 2017. On behalf of all the children and families whose lives you have impacted, and everyone at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, we offer our sincere thanks," reads the message of gratitude from the hospital.

It can be assumed that the Justice League actress donated $3.5 million. After all, she promised to divide the $7 million divorce settlement between two charities: the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union.

"The donation will be divided equally between the ACLU, with a particular focus to stop violence against women, and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, where I have worked as a volunteer for the past 10 years alongside organizations like the Art of Elysium," Heard announced in a statement.

Divorce Settlement

Heard announced her plan to donate the money to charity after her split from Depp in May 2016. As part of the deal, the Pirates of the Caribbean star donated $100,000 to each organization in his ex-wife's name, and Heard would donate the rest when she gets the rest of the divorce money.

"As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully, help those less able to defend themselves. As reported in the media, the amount received in the divorce was $7 million and $7 million is being donated. This is over and above any funds that I have given away in the past and will continue to give away in the future," Heard said in a statement issued after she and Depp signed on the divorce settlement in August 2016.

Depp and Heard released a joint statement about neither of them making false accusations for financial gain. They also revealed that neither party intended to hurt each other physically and emotionally. Heard also wished The Rum Diary actor the best in the future.
