Cleveland kidnapping victim Michelle Knight reveals to Dr. Phil that she has moved on. The young woman is now happily married and has settled down.

Finding A Life After Darkness

Knight was held captive by his abductor Ariel Castro for 11 years after she had gone missing in 2002. She appears as Lily Rose Lee in an upcoming episode of Dr. Phil to discuss her horrifying experience.

She also wished to confirm that she has moved on happily with her life. The 36-year-old has actually been married to a 39-year-old man named Miguel since May 2015. The two got hitched just two years after Knight was released from captivity in 2013.

The Story That Shook The World

Knight's story apparently shocked the whole world. She was one of three young women who was kidnapped by school bus driver Castro on the west side of Cleveland, OH.

Knight was taken first, followed by Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus who were later abducted by Castro and locked along with her. Castro chained the three of them in the basement and tortured them for more than a decade. His horrific crimes only came to light after one of the girls escaped and went to the police.

Castro was indicted on a total of 977 counts, which include 512 counts of kidnapping, 446 of rape, and two counts of aggravated murder for termination of one woman's pregnancy.

He was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole. However, Castro committed suicide in his cell back in 2013, just three months into his sentence.

All The Gory Details

The two-part exclusive interview with Dr. Phil promises to discuss in grave detail the unspeakable acts of cruelty that Knight, Berry, and DeJesus went through in the hands of their kidnapper.

A sneak peek video on the show's site finds the TV host detailing how Knight was chained to a pole, with a helmet on in the basement. Another moment sees Knight recounting how her mouth was taped shut with duct tape. The interview will also reveal how Knight came to know the other two kidnapping victims.

Knight wrote about her horrific experience in a best-selling book titled Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed, which was published four years ago.

She has a new book coming out shortly titled Life After Darkness and it's due to be published on May 1. Berry and DeJesus collaborated on a separate memoir Hope, which was released in 2015.

The episode of Dr. Phil, featuring Knight, will air on April 24.
