Emily Blunt Was Talking About Loving The Single Life When She Met Now Husband John Krasinski

Emily Blunt reveals she was a happily single woman when she met her husband John Krasinski. Right away, she knew he was someone special.

Blunt opened up about the first time she met Krasinski. It’s safe to say it was like a fairytale. She said she and a good friend were enjoying a meal at a restaurant when Krasinski walked in. Interestingly enough, she and her friend were talking about how much they loved being single women. Things quickly changed when Krasinski strolled into the eatery.

“[My friend] goes, ‘Oh, my gosh, there’s my friend John.’ And that was it,” explained Blunt.

It might be safe to say Krasinski felt the same way. Blunt revealed they only dated for 10 months before he popped the question. Still, Blunt added it was no surprise to either of them that they became husband and wife.

Now It's Love On The Set

Now, the two have worked on Krasinski’s latest film, A Quiet Place, together. Blunt spoke about how they’ve been able to keep their marriage strong as they work closely together. She confessed she was hesitant to mix work and marriage before she signed on to the movie because she didn’t know if their family dynamic would change once they were on set.

Fortunately, she said it didn’t take long for her to see that they are a great team. As for what makes them work well together, Blunt credited two major factors.

“We really trust each other. We’re very honest with each other,” said Blunt. “We sort of have a short hand and secret language that ultimately is gonna work for us.”

Emily And John Still Make Time For Family

Still, the couple enjoys spending time with their two daughters, Hazel, 4, and Violent, who will be 2 this year. Blunt said those moments were a great distraction from their hectic days on set.

“I have no choice but to engage with these amazing people,” said Blunt of their children.

She confessed she wants to hold off on them knowing she’s famous for as long as possible. She said she’s fully aware that it’s a strange career for their daughters to take in at such a young age and pointed out that she recognizes they simply want her and Krasinski to be their parents more than anything else.

Blunt and Krasinski will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary on July 10.
