Claire Danes has announced she’s pregnant with baby number two. Interestingly enough, the actress was roughly halfway through her pregnancy when she announced the news.

Danes, who said she is “seriously prego” during an interview with Howard Stern Wednesday, also revealed how far along she is.

“I’m deep into my second trimester,” added Danes.

As for how her bun in the oven became a topic of conversation, she was actually dishing on doing a nude scene for the hit series Homeland. While Stern confessed he wouldn’t be comfortable showing his full body along with a baby bump, Danes seemed to be just fine with it – especially since she and her husband, English actor Hugh Dancy, have been trying to have a second child for quite a while.

While Danes was less open about revealing if she’s having a boy or a girl, Stern suggested the name “Howardina,” if the couple will indeed welcome a girl.

Danes and Dancy are parents to 5-year-old son Cyrus Michael Christopher. If history is any indication, Danes will continue gushing about her unborn child like she did when she was pregnant with their son.

Claire Is Embracing Motherhood

“I’ve always wanted to have kids, but I’m glad I didn’t until now,” said Danes at the time. “When I was thinking about [working and being a mother] originally, I was really nervous about it. I think I would make a lousy stay-at-home mom. It just wouldn’t suit me. I feel so fortunate, in that I’ve had this arrow-straight focus that I wanted to act.”

Now, it’s safe to say Danes has warmed up to motherhood as she and Dancy prepare to welcome their second child together.

Danes has also raved about her husband recently. She noted that she was loving her single life, which was something very new to her at the time when she and Dancy met. She said they lived in the friend zone for quite a while before they got romantically involved with one another.

Things seemed to take a turn for the better when the Danes and Dancy went to Rhode Island together one fall. While they enjoyed bicycling and staring at the crystal waters, Danes said it was in those moments that she realized she was truly happy with her now husband. Danes and Dancy wed in 2009.
