Justin Bieber released the new single "Boyfriend" today, the first from his upcoming album 'Believe.'

Bieber debuts a newly evolved grown-up voice in 'Boyfriend' which is expected to be one of this year's iconic single releases, according to Steve Bartels, president and COO of Island Def Jam Music Group.

"We just wanted to make something different something that was gonna catch people's attention and I knew basically everything has been just up tempo and we wanted just slow down a little bit and show people that I can evolve," Bieber said in an interview early Monday on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

"I was just younger and my voice you know was higher and it was geared to a younger audience but now I am kind of broadening my audience," Bieber said. (Listen to the Interview After the Song)
