Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead, attends this year's Kentucky Derby with her dad, Larry, which they do every year.

The 11-year-old became a head-turner during the recently held 144th horse race in Louisville as she posed adorably at the red carpet of the event with her dad. They were quite noticeable, too, despite the fact that she is gorgeous and that she is the daughter of the late Smith, as the daughter-and-dad duo wore matching outfits.

Larry explained that Birkhead chose her outfit for this year's Kentucky Derby. He further narrated that gone are the days when he would just put anything on her and she wouldn't budge.

Birkhead wore a white and blue silk dress paired with a white hat and gloves, while her dad, a baby blue plaid suit by Nick Graham. The young lady gamely posed and smiled for the cameras, showing her braces. Larry also took to his social media to give their fans a glimpse of their presence during the event. Clearly, the girl's choice was certainly a good one as it suits her well. That might mean she's choosing next year's outfit as well.

"Celebrating the Kentucky Derby with Dannielynn. Rain won't spoil our awesome Derby day!" he wrote.

Single Dad

This year marks the ninth time Birkhead and Larry attended the Kentucky Derby. The event is a special one for the patriarch as he previously revealed that it was where he and Smith first met in 2003. He is raising their daughter as a single dad, who makes a living by being a photographer and a real estate agent.

Smith died in 2007 in Florida, when she was just 39, because of drug overdose. At the time, Birkhead was just 5 months old, but people are noticing she's starting to grow up looking like her beautiful mother.

Since then, Larry tried everything for Birkhead to know and connect with her mother, who, during her days, became a Playmate of the Year. In 2012, the father narrated that he took their daughter to Bahamas for her to see where her mom and half-brother were buried.

"And, you know she said, 'Why did mommy die?' And I said, 'You know, they, doctors couldn't fix her. But if you're good ... you'll get to see her someday,'" he shared.

The nearing occasion, Mother's Day, casually comes in the air, but how would Larry and Birkhead celebrate it? He hinted that they might go again to Bahamas and just enjoy the moment.
