The marketing for Deadpool 2 has been in full swing in the recent weeks with the release of the film coming in a few days' time. The latest promotional video features David Beckham.

Wade Wilson targets the soccer player in the latest Deadpool 2 marketing video that plays around Canadians' expertise in making apologies. Ryan Reynolds, who stars as the title character, shared the video on his Twitter on Thursday, and it has since received about 46,000 retweets and 141,000 likes as of this writing.

David Beckham's Voice

The promo video opens with Beckham relaxing in his living room and watching the original Deadpool film. He replays one of Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) and Wade Wilson's funny scenes in the film that shows Merc with a Mouth making fun of his voice.

"Ever heard David Beckham speak? It's like he mouth-sexed a can of helium," Wilson tells Blind Al as he leans his head on her shoulder.

The ever-cool and sports Beckham is not amused and paused the scene to read a couple of text messages from Wilson.

"I'm sorry. Forgive me," reads the message, and Beckham only shakes his head.

The promotional video for Deadpool 2 is packed with wit and humor as Reynolds, in character as Wade Wilson, tries his best to make amends for the joke he made about Beckham's voice. He makes an effort to show how sincere his apology is in different ways.

Apology Tour

First, he visits Beckham at his home and offers him a glass of milk and cookies along with another series of "I'm sorry's." However, Beckham slams the door to his face. Not giving up, Reynolds tries again this time bearing red balloons but gets the same treatment from the soccer player. In the third try, the actor enlists the help of a few Spanish singers to sing "Lo siento. Amor, lo siento."

Finally, Reynolds gets through Beckham when he presents two tickets to the World Cup. The father-of-four relents and admits that he cannot stay mad at Reynolds. The pair shares a hug, and then Beckham asks what the actor was apologizing for in the first place. He thought the Deadpool 2 star was apologizing for a bunch of his bad movies, including Self/less, Green Lantern, and R.I.P.D. and not about his voice.

This is the second promotional video for Deadpool 2 that leans in on Reynolds' Canadian heritage. The first featured Canadian singer Celine Dion making a music video with Wade Wilson.

Deadpool 2 opens in U.S. theaters on May 18.
