When Grimm's third season premieres this October Nick's mother Kelly may not be there, despite contrary intentions by the show's producers.

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio played Kelly Burkhardt on three episodes of the show but may be too busy to reprise her role in season 3, according to a Tuesday report from TVLine. Grimm producers are allegedly trying to get Mastrantonio back for season 3 but the actress hasn't agreed to do so as of yet. The report indicated that she might be back eventually but not the beginning of season 3.

The Kelly character last appeared on Grimm in the second episode of season 2. She appeared as part of a three-episode arc in which it was revealed to Nick that she was still alive. After Nick dropped her off at Union Station in her last episode, she was seen stealing a car instead of boarding the train.

In other Grimm news, NBC announced their Comic-Con lineup on Tuesday that will include a panel with the show's cast and crew. The panel will be in San Diego, Calif., on Saturday, July 20 for the pop culture convention. Cast members David Giuntoli (Nick), Silas Weir Mitchell (Monroe), Russell Hornsby (Hank), Reggie Lee (Sergeant Wu), Sasha Roiz (Captain Sean Renard), Bitsie Tulloch (Juliette), Bree Turner (Rosalee) and Claire Coffee (Adalind) will be in attendance. Show creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf will also be there in addition to executive producers Norberto Barba and Todd Milliner.

NBC announced the official premiere dates for all of their fall shows in late June. Grimm will be premiering on Friday, Oct. 25 at 9 p.m., likely because of Halloween six days later. It will help launch another horror thriller series Dracula, set to premiere at 10 p.m. on the same date.
