Jeweler Lisette Polny found herself in a remarkable position professionally on Saturday. Her pieces were worn at the royal wedding, by some very famous ladies.

A Professional Milestone

Polny, the founder of Zofia Day, was ecstatic when six of Meghan Markle's friends wore her pieces during the royal wedding.

"It's an overwhelming honor to be part of history and for my pieces to be given as a keepsake for this momentous occasion," she told PEOPLE.

The blushing bride gifted six of her closest friends with a solid gold disc bracelet, suitably called the "Kensington," as a token of appreciation for being part of her day.

Markle collaborated with the Polny for the bespoke design, created in yellow gold and made especially for the royal wedding. Eager fans can purchase it for $450.

Although not official bridesmaids, Markle's best friends Benita Litt and Jessica Mulroney, as well as new sister-in-law Kate Middleton, were by her side for the big day.

It was the bride's wish that they each get something special to commemorate the occasion. The bracelet has a simple and delicate design, with a circular plate at the center, presumably customized and monogrammed for each woman.

"It's a really simple, elegant piece that's just very true to her personal style," said Polny.

A Long-time Fan

The ex-Suits actress has been a fan of the California-based brand for years. She wore a pair of Dash Ear Studs while gracing the cover of Vanity Fair and stepped out with the brand's Bar Stack Ring, which retails for a whopping $715, in January.

Litt's two daughters also sparkled in a couple of bespoke necklaces designed by Polny, which she said inspired her to, maybe, branch out and do a petite line in future.

The jewelry designer gushed about Markle's classic Givenchy look at the royal wedding on Saturday.

"Meghan captured the true essence of classic beauty. I think her style embodies the look of a modern princess with timeless elegance. ... Simply stunning," she gushed.

Markle's choice of dress split commentators online. While some felt the same as Polny, others pointed to the weird fit of the sleeves and even called the look boring.

Polny founded her brand six years ago and named it after her grandmother and daughter. She creates delicate gold and diamond pieces using ethically sourced stones only.
