Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis is officially off the market. The fan favorite married his partner, Angela Jones, in a romantic ceremony in Italy.

The Ending Neville Deserved

Brit actor Lewis portrayed nerdy Neville Longbottom in the hit film franchise. However, in real life, he blossomed into a bonafide hunk, leading fans all over the world to swoon over him.

He posed shirtless on the cover of Attitude back in March 2015, with a nearly naked spread inside the magazine sending fans into a tailspin.

There were even suggestions, from certain corners, that Neville was the real chosen one rather than Harry.

Lewis, far removed from the chubby do-gooder Gryffindor he first appeared, took to Instagram to confirm that he's finally found his happy ending.

The 28-year-old shared a romantic photo from his wedding, in Portofino, Italy, to girlfriend Jones on Monday, devastating fans across the globe in the process.

He captioned the Instagram post with British and American flag emojis, to represent he and his new wife's home countries.

A Magical Day

Lewis also joked on Twitter about his nuptials, lamenting the fact he'd missed an all-important gig to tie the knot with his lady.

"Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming," wrote Lewis jokingly.

It will also infuriate fans to know that Lewis did not marry Luna Lovegood nor Hannah Abbott, two characters they often shipped Neville with, but rather an American lifestyle blogger in the form of pretty blonde Jones.

Details of their wedding are being kept under wraps, but the Instagram shot showcases Jones's stunning, lace-sleeved gown, as well as Lewis's dapper tuxedo as they stroll through a scenic garden.

Their wedding planner shared some snaps from the day, which gave fans a glimpse at a live band, some gorgeous floral table pieces, and stunning waterside scenery.

A Real Love Story

Lewis proposed to Jones in Paris, right by the Eiffel Tower, in November 2016 according to TMZ.

They met in January of that same year at a celebration for the launch of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where Jones worked as an event planner at the time. They reportedly began dating in July.

In March of last year, the Harry Potter actor told PEOPLE that their wedding plans hadn't begun just yet.

"She's American, so we've got quite a lot of things to discuss about location and whatnot before we get anywhere," he said at the time.

They walked the red carpet together for his buddy Emma Watson's, who starred as Hermione in the hit wizard movies, film premiere for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast just a few months after getting engaged.

Since the Potter films wrapped, Lewis has popped up in the likes of wheelchair weepie Me Before You, alongside Sam Claflin and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, and British TV show Girlfriends, alongside legends Miranda Richardson and Anthony Head.
