Actress Kerry Washington reportedly has a new man in her life.

The Scandal star is dating San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, a source told E! Online, cited in a Wednesday report.

Asomugha's manager Mark Holden, however, didn't confirm or deny the relationship to the news outlet and neither did Washington's rep, who said, "We don't comment on our client's personal life."

The 31-year-old football star previously played with the Oakland Raiders for eight seasons and the Philadelphia Eagles for two. He's also acted in a few gigs including TV shows The Game and Leverage.

The 36-year-old actress was previously engaged to actor David Moscow. He has appeared in several movies including Riding in Cars With Boys, Just Married and notably played young Tom Hanks in the 1988 movie Big. The couple split in 2007.

Washington appears on the cover of Vanity Fair's August 2013 issue, which hits stands on July 9. She told the magazine what she loves about playing Olivia Pope on her ABC show Scandal.

"What I think is cool about Olivia is that she fully owns being a woman," she said. "There's a very nurturing sense of 'I'm going to take care of you-don't worry about it. I'm gonna be your mom in this situation. You come stay in my office, have a cup of tea, and let my gladiators take care of you.' There's something very maternal about it."

The actress also explained that Olivia is an inspiration for all women. She called it "revolutionary" in the realm of television for white women to be able to see a woman of color as an "aspirational character."

The ABC show premiered in 2012 and it has become a hit. In April, the show brought in more viewers than its biggest competitor Grey's Anatomy, TV Line reported. Season 3 of Scandal will air in the fall.
