American dancer and actress Jenna Dewan was caught by surprise when she learned her ex-husband Channing Tatum was dating Jessie J. The reported romance between Tatum and the singer started to spread in the news headlines late last year.

Since the romantic link between Tatum and Jessie J came out, Dewan had remained mum about it. She opted to stay graceful amidst the challenging times. In a USA Today interview, the artist revealed, "Instead of reacting the way I wanted, I asked myself this: How do I choose grace at this moment?"

Tatum-Dewan Split

Both Tatum and Dewan did not specify who's to blame for the breakup. According to Cosmopolitan, the ex-couple said: "There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision."

The two then added they are just like best friends who suddenly realized it's time to give each other some space.

However, someone close to Jenna know the real and clear cause. The said source by Cosmopolitan shared that Tatum left Dewan for weeks to tour with friends.

While it was the actress who wanted him to be on this trip and do the things he wanted to show her support, it became clear that Channing enjoyed his time away from his wife.

The two are currently finalizing their divorce, but they have filed documents to be legally single. This means they can marry other people while waiting for the details and finalization of their separation.

'I Felt Blindsided'

Through her new book, "Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in Everyday," Jenna shared how she felt "blindsided" after learning about Channing's relationship with British singer, Jessie J.

Dewan said that it was really hard for her to learn about her ex-husband's new relationship over the internet, along with the rest of the world. She noted how alone she was during that time while Tatum seemed to be so prepared to move on and start a new life with his new love.

"I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn't have to face-and over the internet, as it was happening," she revealed to E Online. "There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship. I felt blindsided. Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult." 

Moving on

With all her struggles during the breakup, Dewan truly deserves to be happy.

The experience she shared in her book is now just a part of her past. Thanks to those bitter experiences that she had, she now has a source of inspiration to move on and start a happy life without Tatum.

The anger she used to feel when Dewan discovered about Tatum's romance with Jessie J may have been replaced with acceptance, especially now that she is also in a new relationship.

Dewan is currently pregnant with her second child and first with new boyfriend, Steve Kazee. Jenna shares a six-year-old daughter, Everly, with Tatum.
