Hip-hop music producer Mally Mall has plead guilty to running a prostitution business for years.

Mall, whose real name is Jamal Rashid, was named in a federal criminal case due to his use of interstate facility in Clark County, Nevada to run his prostitution business since 2002 .

Despite the legalization of prostitution in most parts of the state, businesses are required to have licenses. Rashid failed to acquire one since the start of his business, resulting in investigations spearheaded by the FBI.

A raid happened back in 2014 at the 42-year-old producer's home in San Fernando Valley in California. The investigation for human trafficking charges also took place for his escort business, which was later on discovered to be a prostitution business.

The producer admitted that he held unlawful businesses by hiding them behind his companies. He confessed that he tempted a group of employees to work for him as prostitutes while working as his regular employees.

In addition, women who worked at his escort companies were also forced to engage in the said sexual labor business. He even used his personal credit card to advertise his employees for prostitution through well-known paid websites.

Before Rashid admitted to the said crime, his lawyer Steve Shadow, said that those were all "non-sense lawsuit and did not deserve further remarks" from their side. In addition, the defense attorney of the producer and the prosecutors believe that Rashid does not deserve to be listed as a sex offender.

Whatever charges that will be present after the hearing, his sentence might between one to 33 months only.

A hearing, which was called to order by U.S District Judge Richard Boulware in order to discuss the charges for running an illegal prostitute business, will be held on January 21, 2020.

Rashid and Other Surfacing Cases

According to TMZ, the first raid in 2014 was followed last April 2019. Rashid was put under investigation for both human and exotic animal trafficking. Another accusation surfaced when three Las Vegas-based prostitutes claimed that Rashid has also been involved in a major human trafficking operation.

In the lawsuit filed by one of the prostitutes, she said that Rashid was a brothel-keeper for the most sex trades in Nevada.

Aside from these charges, Mall also received a number of sexual assault assertions.

One of the plaintiffs said that she has flown to Rashid's house to "pay a visit" after the producer saw her videos on her Instagram account. The visit later turned into a rape case after she accused Mall of drugging her and locking her inside a room.

She admitted that she had sex with Rashid numerous times until she was rushed to the hospital due to vaginal trauma caused by rashes. Rashid's colleagues defended him, saying that the two were romantically involved with each other and the claims were all untrue.

Angela Williams, one of the producer's employees who turned into his prostitute, compared Rashid's home to Michael Jackson's "Neverland" for kids. In his case, his home became a place for musicians and everyone who was looking for sexual activities.
