Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making it seem that they have "single-handedly" modernized the monarchy. When in fact, they should not be credited for this at all!

If there's anyone to be credited for transforming the monarchy, it's the Queen.

According to a CNN insider, who was said to be close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the institution around the British royal family is full of afraid and inexperienced people when it comes to harnessing the value of the royal couple.

The said source further suggested that the so-called "palace insiders and friends" were hell-bent on pushing the anti-Prince Harry and Meghan hysteria.

These comments came after the Prince Harry and Meghan appeared in an explosive ITV documentary "Harry and Meghan: An African Journey." Since its airing last Oct. 20, the interview has triggered a huge debate -- with the public and even palace aides claiming their own stand on the couple's role in the Royal Family.

An internal dispute among the aides in the Palace has reportedly started as well. A royal insider refuted these "plain wrong" comments, pointing out that the aforementioned claims are only proof of the level of "paranoia" among the Sussexes.

The source also emphasized that Queen Elizabeth herself was actually the one who has modernised the royal family, almost insinuating that the Duchess has stolen Her Majesty's work.

"No one has ownership of it. It is not a competition," a source told Daily Mail. "None of this is remotely helpful to the monarchy as an institution. It is promoting discord and taking attention away from the good work senior royals do across the board."

Royal commentators revealed that The Queen and senior royals are extremely worried on the path the divisive couple are taking.

In the controversial interview for their documentary, the Duke and Duchess opened up on their struggle to cope with the scrutiny they had to endure on a daily basis.

Prince Harry also acknowledged tensions with his brother for the first time, saying that inevitable issues happen as a result of their family being roasted under pressure.

Markle revealed that her friends have previously warned her about marrying into the Royal Family.

After the said documentary, Prince William reportedly expressed his worry about his brother after the latter talked of his mental health. He is hoping that the couple will be all right, so much so that he even liked the idea of Prince Harry and Meghan taking a six-week break from royal duties.

It has been revealed that the brothers have taken a private time to talk after the documentary, although it is not clear if Prince William has seen it in advance.

A palace source told BBC that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be in a "fragile place." They played down the rumors that the Duke of Cambridge is furious over his brother's admission, and that the two of them have good days and bad days.

Ahead of the filming of the controversial interview, ITV News at Ten anchor Tim Bradby shared how the Sussexes seemed to be bruised and vulnerable. The anchor told ABC's Good Morning America that he "knew that everything wasn't entirely rosy behind the scenes," but he tried to share their story as "empathetically as possible."
