Cody Simpson was overheard complaining about his relationship with Miley Cyrus while he was in a public swimming pool in Australia. It also seems Liam Hemsworth is going to get the last laught out of what is happening to him.

The Australian singer-songwriter was spotted at Andrew Boy Charlton pool on Thursday morning, according to Daily Mail. The 22-year-old was noticeably exasperated as he was talking over the phone, and onlookers overheard him discussing his current romance with Miley Cyrus.

Simpson reportedly said that the two of them had a "weird one" the day before which, according to him, was not exactly an argument.

"She kind of shut down," Simpson reportedly said. "It was kind of s**tty, but whatever."

"The Golden Thing" hitmaker then began to whinge on the negative responses he got from Australian fans over his relationship with Cyrus, accusing that his fellow countrymen were more supportive of Cyrus' ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

"I'm coping s**t here because of [her] exes. You know, her husband is Australian," Simpson allegedly said.

The onlooker further said that there was a group of women who recognized Simpson and were watching as the latter swam a few laps of butterfly. After his swim, Simpson got on his phone to FaceTime a friend and show the view from the harbor pool.

Simpson has been in Australia to film "The Masked Singer." He flew into Sydney on Monday, a few hours before he mas unmasked as the Robot on the local version of the show.

Over the course of the Miley and Cody's relationship, things had been escalating at a pretty fast pace. Earlier this month, the pair was spotted kissing each other in a grocery store. Also recently, they even got tattoos together.

Simpson and Cyrus made headlines Wednesday last week after sharing on Instagram a rather sexy and lewd photo of the two of them. Simpson's mom even responded to the snap, calling the two as "cheeky buggers."

Simpson recently released his new song "Golden Thing," which appeared to be a song dedicated to Cyrus as evidenced in its lyrics.

A week hasn't yet passed since the messy Instagram Live of the two, which wreaked quite some havoc in the online world. In the live video, Cyrus seemed to have leaked the titles of the songs to be featured on her next album, "She is Miley Cyrus."

Miley also made shady comments pertaining to Hemsworth and gave her controversial take on sexuality, causing an uproar over the net.

During his appearance on "Kyle & Jackie O Show," Simpson dragged his girlfriend's previous relationships. He shared how the two of them have been close since they met, and how their friendship developed and bloomed over the years.

Simpson further touched on how Cyrus has experienced a lot this year, and how they found each other in a perfect place where they were both ready for a romantic relationship.

Simpson and Cyrus began dating two months after Miley announced her separation from Hemsworth, whom she married in private last December. After this split, Cyrus had a brief fling with Kaitlynn Carter.
