In his recent interview with Beats 1, Kanye West opened up about his mental health and battle with porn addiction since the age of 5. Woah.

In line with his upcoming album and IMAX movie concert "Jesus Is King," the 42-year-old American rapper joined Zane Lowe for a new interview on Apple Music's Beats 1. The two covered a variety of topics, touching down on West's mental state and even his views on the topic of sex.

During the conversation, West discussed the time when he had to be hospitalized for an episode, which involved him being handcuffed.

The rapper hasn't kept his bipolar diagnosis a secret. Instead, he has been openly sharing his mental state and has been talking about his struggle to maintain his medications. In fact, earlier this year, West opened up about his mental state like never before as he sat down with David Letterman in the Netflix series, "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman."

In his chat with Lowe, the "Through the Wire" rapper also revealed that he used to be a porn addict. According to him, his dad left a "Playboy" magazine out when he was five years old. That incident, he said, became his gateway into full-on pornography addiction.

It has since then affected almost each of his life decisions up to the present.

West told Lowe: "The most space that I had to think is when I went to the hospital. One of the things that happened when I went to the hospital is I started reading the Bible and I started writing and copying out Bible verses."

West said that he now sees himself as a "son of God." In service of Christ, West has taken it upon himself to spread the Gospel and share the deeds Jesus has done in his life.

In line with taking the Bible teachings to heart, West asked his collaborators in the "Jesus is King" team to have no premarital sex throughout the whole duration of producing the album.

"There's times where I was asking people to not have premarital sex while they were working on the album," he shared.

At one point in the interview, West also mentioned his plans to run for office. The rapper claimed that "there will be a time when [he is] president of the U.S.," and he will then remember the people who "didn't have the capacity to understand culturally what we're doing."

The release of the "Jesus is King" album has long been delayed by Kanye. This long wait is finally drawing to an end though, as West tweeted what appears to be a track list from the album -- hinting of its release at midnight Friday.

Besides his upcoming release, West also previously revealed his plan to release a Sunday Service album called "Jesus is Born" on December 25, Billboard reports. This album will feature the Christian Gospel church concert group West has been performing with over the previous year.
