The long-standing British monarchy can only be saved if Queen Elizabeth II will do this to the royal family members.

Queen Elizabeth II has been recognized for saving the palace from destruction numerous times in her lifetime. But the consequence in relation to the recent issues involving Prince Andrew became more calamitous -- but beneficial -- than the options she had before.

Far from what Prince Andrew said in an official statement regarding his decision to withdraw from his royal duties, Her Majesty allegedly fired the Duke of York.

On Nov. 20, a source exclusively revealed to Daily Beast that Her Royal Highness called her favorite son Prince Andrew to Buckingham Palace and ordered him to step down. This just proved that stepping down from his royal duties was never Prince Andrew's choice and the Duke of York's involvement with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein fueled the decision to toss the prince out of Buckingham Palace.

The Queen also reportedly decided to remove the duke's office from the palace and cancel his birthday plans due to the controversies surrounding Prince Andrew.

According to a report by Times of London, British biographer Robert Lacey declared that Prince Charles and Prince William convinced the Queen to get rid of Prince Andrew.

"Nothing like this has happened in the Queen's long reign," Lacey stated, referring to the Queen's decision.

Amid the recent happenings, however, Prince Andrew's removal from the royal palace is actually a good start for the Queen to start saving the monarchy.

How Can The Queen Save The Royals?

Less members means less expense, and it is good news for the people of Britain.

According to Buckingham Palace's documents, the Royal Household accepted an additional £19.6 million of taxpayers' money. This cost is predicted to be only going up, according to the latest figures from Statista.

The royal palace can resolve this issue and continue reigning the monarchy if they can reduce their everyday expenditure, and that is only possible if there will be a lesser number of members.

Prince Charles also saw this option as an answer to the royal family's long-standing problem. In 2012, the heir to the throne divulged his "future vision" to re-establish the monarchy by shutting out wider members.

This sudden statement enraged Prince Andrew as it would likely push him more on the ends of his royal life. He even referred to his brother's deed as something with "ruthless efficiency."

Once Prince Charles becomes king, he plans to highlight only the works by those closer to the throne -- which include the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall. This vision would also slash down the number of working royals to reduce the royal family's cost.

It remains to be seen if this will happen, but the royal family sure seems to be cleaning the inside before making any drastic move.
