New first look images have been released for the sci-fi film The Maze Runner.

The film, which features Dylan O'Brien of Teen Wolf, revolves around the struggle of several young adults who have been dropped into a dangerous maze. Based on the book by James Dashner, the film is directed by Wes Ball as his first endeavor at a feature length film.

Thomas (O'Brien) wakes up in the maze one day with no recollection of his previous life or the outside world. He teams up with the other people he meets (called Gladers after the safe center of the maze) and joins in their two-year-old society as a maze runner. In his job he works to find away out of the maze and past the lethal machines the Gladers call Grievers.

MTV has released five new stills from the film, which you can view here.

The first of the images show O'Brien as Thomas with several other Gladers including the only girl, Teresa (Kaya Scodelario) and Thomas Brodie-Sangster of Game of Thrones as Newt.

Two of the other images show the Gladers in semi-darkness as the carry torches in a flight from danger. Another still shows the Gladers surrounding an elevator, presumably as they find Thomas for the first time.

The Maze Runner is due out Feb 14, 2014.
