Victoria Beckham may have a fashion empire, but she still feels guilty about leaving her four children at home when she goes to work.

The Spice Girl turned fashion designer revealed to Vogue China that she has "mom guilt."

"When you are successful, the hardest thing is maintaining that level of success, so you work harder to maintain what you have achieved," the 39-year-old told the fashion magazine.

Victoria married soccer star, David Beckham in July 1999. Together they have four children, Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, 8, and Harper, 23 months.

"It's a huge juggling act, when you are a working mother and looking after your family. Millions and millions of women around the world are doing this every day, but it's not easy and, yes, you feel guilty every time you walk out of the door to go to work," Victoria said.

Victoria, formerly known as Posh Spice rose to fame in the late 1990s with the all-female pop group Spice Girls. Since her singing her career, Victoria has had success as a businesswoman, fashion designer, and model.

In her television ventures, Beckham has participated in five official documentaries and reality shows about her, including Being Victoria Beckham, The Real Beckhams, and Victoria Beckham: Coming to America. In addition, Beckham has released two best-selling books; one her autobiography, the other a fashion guide.

Despite the "mom guilt," Victoria, who created her own fashion empire, revealed it is all worth it.

"I am not on an ego trip," she said. "Empowering women and making them feel sexy and great when they wear my clothes means more than thousands of people clapping. Empowering women is what makes me feel good."
