John Mayer declared his love for Katy Perry when he dedicated a song to her at his concert in Wisconsin on Saturday.

Mayer got personal, opening up about his throat surgery last August and crediting Perry to his quick recovery. According to Rolling Stone, Mayer gushed about how Perry would order him food when he couldn't speak post-surgery.

"She would tell people, 'It's nice to meet you,'" he told the crowd. "She was so patient. [She took the time] to continue to get to know me and love me."

Perry was present for the shout out, watching Mayer's set from the mixing board. In one of his final songs, A Face to Call Home, Mayer dedicated the performance to Perry.

"Katy, who is my face to call home," Mayer crooned.

Besides two warm-up shows in April, the singer has been on hiatus since his surgery for a granuloma in his throat.

The on-again, off-again couple, who ended things for the second time back in March, rekindled their romance  early last month when they started hanging out again after Memorial Day. The musical duo most recently spent Fourth of July together at the Philly 4th of July Jam Concert, according to the New York Post. Perry shared a patriotic photo that evening of her and Mayer with their arms wrapped around each other.

The guitarist will continue onto Cincinnati on Tuesday where he will perform at the Riverbend Music Center.
