Tinker Bell will play a larger role when Once Upon a Time returns for season 3 this fall, according to a Monday report by TV Guide.

Neverland will also be one of the most significant settings during the third season of Once Upon a Time. It will feature many beloved characters from that universe, including Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Rufio. Captain Hook has already been featured for much of season 2 and his storyline will continue into season 3.

As for Tinker Bell, the report suggested that the fairy will have a unexpected connection to one of the main characters. Her being tied to Captain Hook might be too obvious but he still does counts as a "regular" on the show.

Enstars previously reported that producers were in the process of casting Rufio, the leader of the Lost Boys, for the new season. The role of Peter Pan is also being cast.

The show's cast and crew will be appearing at Comic-Con panel in San Diego on Saturday, July 20. In the panel, called Once Upon a Time: Off to Neverland!, cast members Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret/Snow White), Jennifer Morrison (Emma), Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin) Josh Dallas (David/Prince Charming), Emilie de Ravin (Lacey/Belle), Colin O'Donoghue (Captain Hook) and Michael Raymond-James (Neal/Baelfire) will all be on hand to answer questions and discuss the show.

Co-creators and executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will also be there to answer questions. Last year, at the 2012 convention, the producers revealed Captain Hook's presence on the second season. If the producers follow that tradition, fans may learn even more about the new season at the upcoming convention. The panel will be conducted from 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. at Ballroom 20 of the convention on July 20.

ABC has not released a premiere date for the third season of Once Upon a Time, though it is scheduled to debut in the fall in its regular Sundays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
