Filming for season 9 of Supernatural is finally underway.

While the Vancouver based crew isn't working on the season premiere quite yet, it's been confirmed that episode 2, "Devil May Care," will take place partially at the Men of Letters' Bunker.

"First slate of the season from the Men of Letters set here at #supernatural," tweeted producer Jim Michaels.

As for the actors, it was time for them to look the part once more. For Jensen Ackles, this meant shaving off his hiatus beard. Director Guy Norman Bee was kind enough to supply fans with a before and after shot of the new dad's transformation.

"From Dad to Dean in 6 seconds! #SPN," Bee tweeted along with the Vine you can view below.

When season 8 came to a close with "Sacrifice," the world of the Winchesters was left in a bit of a mess.

Both Heaven and Hell were seeing a potential change in rulers. Metatron (Curtis Armstong) had pulled the plug on heaven, using Castiel's (Misha Collins) grace as the last piece of the spell to send fiery angels raining down on earth following Naomi's (Amanda Tapping) apparent demise. Meanwhile the King of Hell (Mark Sheppard) is now a half cured demon, a potential problem since otherwise he may have teamed up with the brothers to take down the newly freed Abaddon (Alaina Huffman).

As for the Winchesters themselves, Sam (Jared Padalecki) was left looking exceedingly ill while Dean (Ackles) was the only one left to pick up the pieces. It looks like it's going to be a tough season for the boys and, according to Collins, for the actors as well.

"Welcome back SPN Cast & Crew! I hope over hiatus you caught a nap, took your vitamins & got new tattoos, 'cause Season 9's gonna be a doozie," Collins, now a series regular, tweeted.

Supernatural season 9 premiers on the CW on October 15 at 9 p.m.
