The Voice has some fierce competition, and not all of it is from the singing hopefuls.

Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have a light-hearted but intense battle of words every week on the show, mostly steaming from the fact that Shelton has won three out of the four seasons on the show.

For his part, Shelton believes the Maroon 5 front man should be a bit more like him.

"I get frustrated with Adam because, to me, rock stars are supposed to be drunk all the time. But he's very healthy," the country singer told Men's Journal. "He takes care of himself. And it drives me crazy, because I want him to be more like me. Drunk all the time."

While there may be humorous arguing on air, the duo has a bona fide bromance and high respect for each other.

"The guy is just pure positive energy," Levine said of Shelton, according to Men's Journal. "He has this kind of punk-rock mentality, where he's not afraid to speak his mind, not afraid to say the wrong thing. It's a huge part of his success: What you get is different than what you're expecting."

However, Levine also joked to E! that the three-time winner's "head really can't get any bigger."

Well, to bring the country singer's pride down to size, someone will just have to be sure to beat the Team Blake competitors on season 5 of The Voice.
