Everyone's favorite operational psychologist may be making a return to NCIS: Los Angeles this fall.

Peter Cambor is rumored to be playing Nate Getz once again in the CBS crime-drama. Viewers have seen Nate move to a variety of locations after leaving the Los Angeles team. From Afghanistan, to an American prison, to Yemen, Nate worked to track the Warriors of Islam. Now, however, he is making a stop in LA, and not a moment too soon.

Nate is slated to appear early in season 5, according to TV Line. Perfect timing considering the NCIS: LA team will be in need of a psychologist if they make it through the events of last season's finale "Descent."

While Sam (ll Cool J) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) are being tortured at the hands of Siderov (Timothy V. Murphy), Sam's wife Michelle Hanna (Aunjanue Ellis) is busy fighting for her life at the hands of Siderov's two agents. As Kensi (Daniela Ruah), still reeling form her kiss with Deeks, rushes to aid Michelle, Callen (Chirs O'Donnell) realizes the team was betrayed by his nemesis, Marcel Janvier (Christopher Lambert).

Nate will have a lot of work to do when he returns, what with Callen's guilt from putting his team at risk, Deeks and Kensi's feelings for each other, and Sam's fear of losing his wife. Perhaps there will also be time for Nate to explain how exactly he knows Nell (Renée Felice Smith).
