New details leaked recenlty about who will be appearing on Once Upon a Time season 3, including the return of a character from season 1.

Giancarlo Esposito, who played newspaper reporter Sidney Glass in Once Upon a Time's first season, will reportedly be returning for season 3 in a recurring role. He also played the Genie of Agrabah-turned-Magic Mirror. It is unknown which role he will be playing in the upcoming season.

His last episode was in season 1, episode 19, titled The Return, though it was implied in a later episode that Regina (Lana Parrilla) imprisoned him in a hospital for revealing their secret plots to Emma (Jennifer Morrison).

Regina may be finding love in season 3, according to a Thursday report by TV Line.

"We may find out that perhaps, just perhaps, there is a special someone out there for Regina," said Once Upon a Time co-creator Adam Horowitz.

ABC released an official statement about the show's attendance at San Diego Comic-Con. Once Upon a Time will be having its own panel on Saturday, July 20, that will include all of the main cast members and executive producers. In addition to an autograph signing, fans will also have the opportunity to board the Jolly Roger, the ship featured in Neverland in the Peter Pan universe. The show is transporting to Neverland for much of the action of season 3.

ABC has not released a premiere date for the third season of Once Upon a Time, though it is scheduled to debut sometime in the fall. It is scheduled to air in its regular Sundays at 8 p.m. timeslot this fall. Enstars previously reported that the season premiere will be titled The Heart of the Truest Believer.
