At the end of season 13, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation left two of its characters in the hands of a serial killer.

Picking up where "Skin in the Game" left off, the season 14 premiere will be called "The Devil and D.B. Russell" and features the CSI crew hot on the trail of the 'Dante's Inferno' killer, according to Spoiler TV.

"Skin in the Game" saw D.B Russell (Ted Danson) and team uncover a string of murders. The victims were all prostitutes and strippers who were trying to get out of the life and went to "Fellowship for the Fallen Angels" for support.

Former prostitute Angela Banner (Tangie Ambrose) and Brother Larson run the program but, as it turns out, Larson has a checkered past and has been selling the girls to an anonymous buyer. Meanwhile, a reporter working with the team figured out that the serial killer's calling card was circles corresponding to Dante's circles of Hell.

Believing the anonymous buyer to the one committing the murders, Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) goes undercover as his next buy but he appears uninterested and sends her off. However, Jim Brass (Paul Guifoyal) receives a USB around the same time showing that the killer has his daughter Ellie (Teal Redmann). The team soon discovers that Morgan is now missing as well.

When the season returns fans will have to wait and see who the real killer is and if Morgan and Ellie make it out alive.
