A blond Nicki Minaj takes charge on the set of Nelly's new video Get Like Me.

In the behind-the-scenes clip, the 30-year-old rapper discussed scenes with the director Colin Tiley and offered her own opinions.

It seems she's living up to the song's lyrics.

"B--tch, I'm a pro, ain't a h-- like me," she raps on the track.

Despite her superstar status, Minaj also poked fun at herself. While watching a scene playback, the rapper is heard repeating the word "cellulite," in regards to her own image.

"Nah, nah, nah it goes away, don't worry about it," her best friend Safaree SB Samuels reassured her.

Nelly also gave kudos to the New York native and her presence on the track.

"You killed the joint. I didn't get a chance to tell you," Nelly told her.

A humble Minaj replied, "Thank you for having me."

Get Like Me is the newest single from the rap veteran Nelly. The song also features Pharrell Williams who sings the hook. It's also the lead single from Nelly's upcoming album M.O.

His seventh studio album is expected on September 30 and will feature additional appearances by Nelly Furtado, Trey Songz, T.I. and Wiz Khalifa.

This will mark Nelly's first studio album since 2010 when he released 5.0. The album sold a disappointing 63,000 in its first week and only managed to peak at No. 10 on Billboard. It became his least successful album to date. For example, Nelly's fifth studio album Brass Knuckles peaked at No. 3 on Billboard when it was released in 2008.

The rapper blamed his record label, Universal Motown, for the low sales.

"A record deal is a 50/50 partnership! As a artist its your job to provide the record company with music that they (record company) can sell, Thing about the partnership is that n the public eye the responsibility is not 50/50! The artist is always the 1 who catches 90% of the blame," he tweeted following the album's release.
