Blake Shelton 'Boys 'Round Here' Singer's Mother Says He's Never Drunk
Blake Shelton makes a point of tweeting about his alcohol consumption, but family members say this is far from the truth.
In a recent interview with Men's Journal, Shelton talked up his drinking as per usual but when the magazine checked up with his mother, Mrs. Shelton had a different picture to paint.
"He likes to make people think he's drunk, but I've never seen that boy drunk in my life," she told Men's Journal.
However, Shelton later claims that he wishes The Voice costar would be a little more buzzed like him.
"I get frustrated with Adam because, to me, rock stars are supposed to be drunk all the time. But he's very healthy," Shelton complains of Adam Levine. "He takes care of himself. And it drives me crazy, because I want him to be more like me. Drunk all the time."
Recently Shelton has come under fire for his drinking by allegations that the singer gained 50 pounds due to his copious drinking. In Touch claims that Shelton and Miranda Lambert 's alleged marital problems are to blame for an increase in Shelton's singer.
While the couple has often denied having any relationship difficulties, with the public nature of Shelton's statements on drinking, perhaps his weight gain is from alcohol alone.
