The Backstreet Boys released the video for the group's comeback single In A World Like This on Thursday during an appearance on Good Morning America.

In the video the five members - Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell - sing their hearts out in an open field of beautiful scenery. The video follows the lives of several individuals, including a couple who is distraught after watching devastating news on TV. The band members also attempt to send a big message with the clip.

"The concept of the video is based on the song, which tells a story of how love conquers all and 'in a world like this' that we live in, with all the craziness and negative energy that can go around, with real love you can overcome anything," McLean explained on Good Morning America.

McLean also did not hesitate to reveal how the band feels about gay marriage.

"Marriage equality is an ongoing issue for years," he said. "BSB wants to show our support for the LGBT community and we believe that two people of the same sex should have the right to get married."

The empowering tune, In A World Like This, is produced by Max Martin who also worked on some the band's biggest hits including Quit Playing Games (With My Heart), Everybody (Backstreet's Back) and I Want It That Way. It will appear on their upcoming album with the same name. The album hits stores on July 13 and is in celebration of the band's 20th anniversary.

"I hope [fans are] going to be pleasantly surprised with the sound that we've been able to keep there with our signature harmonies and melodies and great hooks, and once again modernize our sound over the years," Dorough told The Huffington Post in April. "It's just a bunch of great pop songs with a lot of great hooks."
