Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly on their way to London, sparking rumors that the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is finally in labor.

Us Weekly confirmed that the royal couple abruptly left Bucklebury with police escorts around 3 p.m. local time Friday.

No word on if the couple is headed to St. Mary's hospital in London or their Kensington Palace.

"We wouldn't comment on the exact whereabouts of the Duke and Duchess - we wouldn't normally do so in their private time," a palace representative said.

While Middleton's earlier reported due date was Saturday July 13, source told The Telegraph that the Duchess is actually due Friday, July 19.

"A small number of staff at St Mary's who might be called upon when the Duchess gives birth were told they had to remain teetotal for a month before the due date., the source said. "They were told the due date was July 19."

Last week, a royal source said that the whole world is anticipating the birth of the baby.

"We're all on the edge of our seats for news," a Royal Air Force source admitted. "I thought the baby would be born by now!"

William has already taken paternity leave and will be there to support his wife with their new baby girl or baby boy.

While the gender has yet to be discovered by the first-time-parents to be, Middleton's uncle, Gary Goldsmith is confident that she is having a girl.

"My suspicion is that they're having a baby girl," Goldsmith told The Mirror. "But, of course, I don't know that for fact."

Goldsmith said the arrival of a little girl would mean so much to his family.

"It would be brilliant, wouldn't it, if they do have a little girl? To have one of my family, my niece, making history will be absolutely unbelievable," he said.
